Again, here we are 4 months later. I am now in SPAIN for 5 months. I didn't write about that in my previous entries? I do not think so. So I am here attending a private University named Francisco Vitoria. It is outside of Madrid's center. The town is called Majadahonda, actually. They seem to have very well known professors from the art scene here. I have only met 2 so far and they seem very knowledgeable. I do look forward to learning more terms, more thoughts, more work. The classes here are mostly theory based which is an excellent practice for me, since I do tend to avoid theory in all subjects...lol
I am excited for this one class called systems of analysis of from and space, it is a basic design class but it focuses on perspective, geometry and scale more or less...these are the 3 areas I need to tighten up, especially working on large scale projects, I would love to learn first how to start small to convert into a larger piece.
I am not so concerned in creating as much as I am retaining ideas while I am here, attaining more tools, organizing my ideas and paying attention to my process.
Those are my goals.
This photo, I created my first semester in school and I really like it. And it is something like this that I want my work to be like or evolve from this... a marriage between the representational and some geometric abstraction. I want to keep it simple yet expressive. Let's see how I progress...:)
